I’m moving on.
i used to collect quotes and i recognize some of those as old favorites
i’m glad to see this, hopefully there’s a peace in your heart that comes with it.
Hey girl, I ran across your note on facebook and I just really wanted to know how to pray for you more specifically so I came here.
Man the valleys of life suck. They literally take the joy out of us and leave us broken, disheartened, and empty feeling. It’s a mystery to me how one day we’re seemingly soaring in the clouds with incomparable joy, the kind that only God can give us. And then, something happens. And the world isn’t as it seemed before. Its innate brokenness penetrates our lives. We look around and realize how alone and empty we feel and the pain sets in. We push on, clawing, scratching, and fighting tooth and nail to stay afloat. We PRAY for direction, peace, comfort, healing because it is all we know to do. But all these efforts are like striking a match in a vacuum. We’re so empty, we can’t even cry anymore. All the tears are gone, used up in other moments of desperation. So we’re left broken and weary vessels.
And then there it is! The thing, THAT thing, the one He’s been trying to reach us with but we were always too busy, or too preoccupied to notice. The curtain falls and the lesson’s so apparent. We wonder how we could’ve missed it for so long. We see how He’s carried us through the entire time and how He’s refined us. We’re so much closer to Him than we were before. We know more of His nature and it’s the sweetest thing to know more about the creator of the universe!
So, I guess the point of this is just to encourage you to hang in for the sweet revolution. You know it’s coming! Even in your blogs that are full of pain there’s so much strength in your words of faith. You know your God is on your side and that He’s refining you through the struggles of a life in a broken world! I’m prayin’ for you! Hang in there!
Yay!
